Athens Airport Taxi
Athens for decades has been a top draw for tourists from around the world, as they come to marvel at the ancient landmarks like the Acropolis and the Parthenon. With its warm climate and great food, drink and multitude of things to see and do it’s no wonder why visitors flock to the Greek capital city for a vacation to remember. And given its status as a capital city, Athens has all the modern amenities and great travel connections that you would expect.
Once you land, there are several options for getting into Athens that range in duration and price. If you want a private ride in comfort, you might pick a taxi — but beware the potential for drivers to try and scam you out of more money than you actually need to pay. Or if you’re traveling on a budget, a bus can be an affordable option even though it will take longer than a taxi.
It’s easy to spot the official, licensed taxis because they all wait on the airport Arrivals level between Exits 2 and 3. There will be a queue of other passengers waiting for taxis, so simply join this line and wait until you are called forward to get into your taxi.

Athens Airport Taxi Pre-bookings / Reservations
Taxis receive passengers at the arrivals. The queue is small and you will rarely have to wait more than 30-40 minutes. However, if you want to be sure of what you will pay for and not face unpleasant surprises, we recommend to pre-book your taxi transfer. Pre-booking a cab would be a good idea and is always the best option to avoid overcharging.
